Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Assistant Dispatcher to help coordinate trucking operations efficiency in Newcastle, WY. In this vital role, you will manage daily freight movements, communicate with drivers and clients, and utilize advanced transportation management systems to ensure seamless logistics operations. Your proactive approach will help us uphold our reputation for on-time deliveries and superior service. You will also assist the terminal manage with their duties. Dispatcher position will also require candidates to be on-call for scheduled evening and weekends. On-call status schedule will rotate with other terminal dispatchers.

Responsibilities

• Being able to communicate effectively with customers to accept loads
• Ability to dispatch loads and communicate with drivers
• Candidates must be able to complete, review and transmit paperwork daily
• Candidate must be able to prioritize the daily work flow
• Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills a must
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is preferred
• Experience with Google Drive is preferred
• Candidate will be trained in the use of our E-log software

Requirements

• Proven experience in dispatching within the trucking industry
• Excellent communication skills with professional phone etiquette
• Understanding of Fuel & LPG handling, shipping & receiving processes, and operations
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Dispatching: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• drivers license (Required)
• Class A CDL (Preferred)
• Hazmat Endorsement (Preferred)
• Tanker Endorsement (Preferred)
