About the Role:
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Finance Manager to support and strengthen our finance function. This role requires hands-on involvement in financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, and operational finance activities while assisting senior management in strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Support the Finance Manager in budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, highlighting variances and recommending corrective actions
- Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and closing processes
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to ensure financial stability
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and statutory requirements
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits, ensuring timely closure of audit findings
- Prepare management reports and dashboards for senior leadership
- Conduct financial analysis, cost control, and profitability assessments
- Support payroll processing and ensure accuracy of employee-related financial transactions
- Liaise with banks, auditors, and regulatory authorities as required
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimization
- Support ERP/accounting system, upgrades, and data integrity checks
- Assist in financial risk management and mitigation strategies
- Provide guidance and supervision to junior finance staff
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 4–6 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting
- Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CMA) preferred
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, and compliance standards
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP systems
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
