The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office (“MDSO”) seeks an experienced Florida licensed attorney to assist in the provision of contractual legal services. This position will have a strong emphasis on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide variety of transactional instruments for MDSO, including public safety contracts, intergovernmental cooperation and assistance agreements, grant funding contracts, and procurement solicitation documents and contracts. Primary responsibilities include the ability to advise MDSO entities on legal issues concerning contract formation and interpretation, public procurement requirements, ethics, and compliance with federal/state/local laws and grant conditions. Duties also include reviewing and drafting procurement policies and procedures. Applicants should be capable of handling all stages of contract drafting, negotiations, and amendments, as well as possess excellent research, writing, and oral communication skills.
