Assistant General Manager- Digital Engineering and Operations Technology ( SEZ )

Location : SEZ Plant

Specific Job Responsibilities:

Operations Technology & Automation Management

• Lead Operations Technology CoE to ensure minimal automation related breakdowns, best practices of Industrial Automation, OT architecture roadmap, cybersecurity standards, and ensure alignment with global best practices
• Diagnose OT systems issues, perform root-cause analysis, and ensure minimal downtime.
• Troubleshoot control logic (e.g., ladder logic, structured text) for PLCs, SCADA/ HMI and controllers.
• Lead seamless Integration of automation systems (L1, L2) with Enterprise-wide systems for manufacturing plants

Technology Innovation & Compliance

• Lead Manufacturing equipment upgrade program of all manufacturing sites to meet 21 CFR requirements
• Ensuring all Digital Engineering and Automation Initiatives are meeting regulatory expectations
• Drive Predictive/Prescriptive Maintenance I4.0 use cases for data driven decision making for breakdown reduction

Strategic Leadership

• Lead Digital Engineering and Industrial Automation Team across all manufacturing locations
• Ensuring smooth collaboration between various cross functional teams like Manufacturing, CSV, QA and Engineering
• Lead multidisciplinary team on Automation Engineers and technical experts

Relevant Functional/Technical Skills or Industry Experience

• Proven leadership in implementing large scale Industrial Automation/ Operations Technology projects in pharmaceutical Manufacturing
• Deep Pharmaceutical Engineering & Maintenance Business Process understanding
• Deep expertise in various PLCs Programming, HMI/SCADA designing and life cycle maintenance
• Expertise in various SCADA, Historian implementation & Serialization projects implementation
• Experience in Digitization of Engineering practices and analytics solutions implementation
• Good understanding on equipment related 21 CFR requirements
• Knowledge of ISA-95 architecture and OT cybersecurity

Relevant Professional / Educational Background:

• Bachelor’s /master’s degree in engineering with advanced certification in Automation
• 12-15 years in Pharmaceutical Industry with experience in Digital Engineering, Operation Technology and Automation
