Assistant General Manager ( SAP ) - IT

Accountable to- Manufacturing IT Head

Base location – Matoda Plant , Ahmedabad

Key Responsibilities :

The SAP Lead will oversee the implementation, management, and optimization of SAP solutions within the pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This is a senior role within Manufacturing IT to lead a team and execute projects across multiple manufacturing sites.

1.SAP Implementation & Management:

• Lead the end-to-end implementation of SAP modules relevant to manufacturing, maintenance, material and quality management.
• Ensure system configurations align across sites, simplify processes and reduces customized developments and maximize process coverage on SAP ERP.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Lead and develop a team of SAP module experts for SAP Manufacturing.

2.Process Optimization:

• Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement through SAP solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations and enhance efficiency. Interact with business to understand requirement.
• Should be able to understand Manufacturing, Quality, Warehouse, Engineering related process.
• Write Functional Specification and lead projects with support from a delivery team. Solution experience to understand.
• Ownership and delivery of manufacturing area related projects in partnership with relevant stake holders.
• Conduct Blueprint / Design workshops for one or more processes. Lead a large virtual team to converge on the solution and manage the stakeholders globally

3.User Support & Training:

• Provide ongoing support to end-users, addressing issues and facilitating training sessions.
• Develop training materials and documentation to enhance user proficiency.

4.Compliance & Quality Assurance:

• Ensure all SAP processes comply with regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, GMP).
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to maintain system integrity and data accuracy.
• Experience in preparation and reviews of validation protocol IQ/OQ/PQ related documentation, Validation master plan, SOP’s and Risk assessment.
• Working knowledge of GxP and audit requirement.

5.Collaboration & Communication:

• Work closely with IT, production, and quality assurance teams to align SAP functionalities with business needs.
• Knowledge in Manufacturing Industry, Process and chemical Industry business Processes.
• Documenting the AS-IS process, then from the available global template and standard SAP solution is provided in TO-BE process.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates on project progress.

6.Reporting & Analytics:

• Develop and maintain reports to provide insights into manufacturing performance and compliance metrics.
• Utilize SAP BW and Microsoft Power BI analytics tools to support data-driven decision-making.

Relevant Skills, Experience & Qualification:

Essential

• Proven experience in delivering Manufacturing projects into SAP environment for manufacturing industry at global platform.
• Business understanding of a global manufacturing operations and production management, quality management, equipment management and material management practices

Qualification

• Bachelor in Computer Engineering / Production Engineering or any Engineering Bachelor with relevant experience in Manufacturing company Or a Consulting firm
• 10+ years of experience with SAP PP/SAP QM/SAP PM area.
• Have a strong knowledge of SAP ERP and modules PP, QM, MM, PM, WM etc.
