Assistant Housekeeping Manager Job Description

The Assistant Housekeeping Manager supports the Housekeeping Manager in overseeing all daily operations of the Housekeeping department to ensure impeccable cleanliness standards and maximum guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Staff: Directly manage, train, and schedule the housekeeping team (attendants, public area staff, etc.).
  • Quality Control: Conduct frequent inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure they meet the hotel's high standards of cleanliness and maintenance.
  • Inventory: Monitor and manage the stock of linens, amenities, and cleaning supplies, assisting with ordering and cost control.
  • Guest Relations: Promptly and professionally handle all guest requests and resolve any complaints related to housekeeping services.
  • Operations: Ensure all department operations comply with safety and hygiene regulations; serve as the department head in the manager's absence.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in hotel housekeeping, with prior supervisory experience.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and Holidays.
