Assistant HVAC Technician

Job description:

Our client is supporting a short-term HVAC project at Qatar Energy Refinery, Mesaieed. The project requires experienced HVAC professionals to ensure system stability, operational efficiency, and effective team coordination during the project period.

Location: Qatar Energy Refinery, Mesaieed
Salary: QAR 2000+FAT
Contract Type: Short-Term Contract (2 Months)
Working Days: 6 Days per Week
Working Hours: 9 Hours per Day (Including Break)

We are looking for a highly experienced Assistant HVAC Technician with strong expertise in chiller operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance to support our Oil & Gas operations in Qatar. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in industrial HVAC systems, ensuring reliable performance, safety compliance, and uninterrupted plant operations. This role requires a technically skilled professional with proven experience in high-demand environments and strict HSE standards.

Key Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems and associated equipment.
• Experience in chiller operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance is a must.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on chillers, air handling units (AHUs), FCUs, package units, and ventilation systems.
• Operate and monitor chiller systems to ensure efficient performance.
• Troubleshoot HVAC system faults and carry out necessary repairs.
• Conduct routine inspections and testing to identify issues and ensure system reliability.
• Maintain detailed maintenance logs and service records.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and Oil & Gas HSE standards.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration cycles, and controls.
• Familiarity with industrial safety practices and permit-to-work systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Physically fit and capable of working in industrial environments.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 10 years of experience as an HVAC Technician.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Oil & Gas sector is required.
• Diploma or ITI certificate in HVAC / Mechanical or relevant field (Mark sheets and approvals mandatory).
• Work Experience Certificates are mandatory and must be submitted along with the CV.
