Assistant Instructor - HVACR

The Hunar Foundation (THF) invites applications for the position of Assistant Instructor - HVACR at its Nokkundi (RDMC) Campus. The incumbent will be responsible for:

· Facilitation in delivering practical and theoretical lessons as per the approved curriculum.

· Support students in hands-on exercises related to refrigeration cycles, air-conditioning units, ducting, piping, and system maintenance.

· Prepare, arrange, and maintain tools, materials, and training aids required for classes.

· Demonstrate basic techniques such as brazing, wiring, component assembly, and troubleshooting under supervision.

· Monitor student activities during workshops and ensure safe working practices.

· Provide additional guidance to students who need extra support in practical skills.

· Maintain workshop cleanliness, orderliness, and compliance with safety regulations.

· Check and ensure proper functioning of training tools, test benches, and equipment.

· Maintain inventory of materials, tools, and consumables, and report maintenance or replenishment needs.

· Ensure all electrical and refrigerant-handling activities are performed safely and in accordance with standard operating procedures.

· Maintain attendance, progress, and performance records for trainees.

· Assist in conducting assessments, trade tests, and evaluations

· Support in documentation required for audits, inspections, or academic reporting.

· Participate in instructor training, workshops, and continuous professional development sessions.

· Support in organizing skill competitions, exhibitions, and industry visits.

· Any other task assigned by the line manager

Requirements:

Candidates should possess a minimum of 2–3 years of hands-on experience in HVACR installation, maintenance, or a training environment, and be well-versed in air-conditioning systems, refrigeration cycles, and electrical control circuits. A DAE in HVACR, Mechanical, or Electrical Technology from a recognized institute is mandatory. Preference will be given to those with prior experience in vocational or technical education institutions.
