Assistant Interior Designer

Role Description

The Assistant Interior Designer will support project teams in designing elegant and functional spaces for both residential and commercial clients. Core responsibilities include assisting with space planning, preparing construction drawings, aiding in FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) selection, and contributing to overall interior design development. Additional tasks include collaborating with senior designers, client meetings, and maintaining project documentation. This is a part-time, on-site role based in the San Francisco Bay Area with full-time potential.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Space Planning and Interior Design to create functional and aesthetically pleasing layouts
• Experience in Architecture and Construction Drawings to effectively assist with technical project requirements
• Knowledge of FF&E selection and specification processes related to furniture, fixtures, and equipment
• Strong organizational and communication skills to collaborate with design teams and clients
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar tools is highly desirable, minimum 5 years of experience with Auto CAD is required
• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field is preferred
• Passionate about interior design trends and styles, with a keen eye for detail and creativity

Pay: From $32.00 per hour
