Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Assistant Interior Designer to join our dynamic design team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate on diverse interior projects. The ideal candidate will support senior designers with conceptual development, drafting, and project coordination, contributing to innovative and functional interior spaces. A foundation in design software, project management, and an understanding of construction processes is essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities
- Maintain and organize showroom displays, samples, and materials
- Assist with kitchen and bathroom design layouts using 2020 Design / CAD software
- Support client design and sales meetings, including reviewing layouts, scope of work, and budgets
- Assist with material selection meetings (cabinetry, countertops, tile, plumbing fixtures, lighting, hardware, etc.)
- Create and edit scale drawings in Photoshop
- Help prepare project estimates, including materials and labor costs
- Assist with quoting, purchasing, and ordering of all remodeling materials
- Create project installation packets with drawings, specifications, and documentation
- Support project management activities, including:
- Communicating with vendors, field trades, and clients
- Coordinating deliveries, templates, and installations
- Assisting with progress billing and documentation
Qualifications
- Work experience in interior design, kitchen & bath design, or a related field is preferred, but not required
- Degree or coursework in Interior Design, Architecture, or related discipline preferred, but not required
- Basic to intermediate experience with 2020 Design, CAD, SketchUp, or similar design software is preferred
- Basic to intermediate skill in Photoshop
- Strong interest in kitchen and bathroom remodeling
- Knowledge of materials, finishes, and color coordination
- Organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a sometimes fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Sales or customer service experience is a plus
- General understanding of construction or remodeling is a plus
