Job Summary

Seldom Scene Interiors in Stowe, VT is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented in-person, full time Interior Design Assistant to join our creative team. In this role, you will support the design process from concept development through project completion, ensuring that residential interior design projects are executed seamlessly. Your enthusiasm for design, combined with technical proficiency in CAD and 3D modeling software, will help bring innovative spaces to life. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a collaborative environment while contributing to inspiring interior projects. Must be able to work under pressure, problem solve and be willing to learn. Must be willing to relocate to Stowe, Vermont area.

Duties

• Assist in creating detailed floor plans, elevations, and construction documentation using AutoCAD, Revit, and other CAD software.
• Develop 3D models and renderings of interior spaces utilizing SketchUp, 3ds Max, Rhino (Rhinoceros 3D), and Adobe Creative Suite to visualize design concepts effectively.
• Support project management tasks by coordinating schedules, tracking deadlines, and managing project documentation to ensure timely delivery.
• Sourcing design materials.
• Prepare presentation materials for client meetings using CAD presentation tools and graphic design software to communicate design ideas clearly.
• Collaborate with vendors on lighting sales, material selections, and renovation details to create cohesive interior environments.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Bluebeam, and Adobe Photoshop.
• Strong understanding of interior design principles such as color theory, lighting design, and space planning.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills with colleagues and vendors, and the ability to present ideas effectively through CAD drawings and visual presentations.
• Background in professional art or design fields is preferred; previous experience in remodeling or renovation projects is a plus.
• Must be willing to work 40+ hours a week in-person.
• Highly self motivated and have a positive attitude.

Pay: $52,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
