Part-Time Interior Design Assistant (1099 Contractor) Chicago North Shore

We are a boutique, high-end interior design firm known for creating sophisticated European interiors with a modern, minimalist aesthetic. We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Part-Time Interior Design Assistant to support our studio.

This is an ideal opportunity for a motivated self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced, design-driven environment and has strong technical skills and design knowledge .

Responsibilities

• Assist with the development of interior design projects from concept through installation
• Prepare and maintain drawings, plans, and design documentation
• Create 3D models, renderings, and presentation materials
• Support project management, sourcing, and procurement activities
• Maintain accurate specifications, schedules, and project records
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and clients as needed
• Assist with site visits, installations, and project logistics

Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Enscape
• Experience with Studio Designer software preferred
• Strong understanding of residential interior design and construction documentation
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Professional communication and presentation skills
• Positive attitude and proactive problem-solving abilities
• Passion for high-end design, architecture, and craftsmanship

Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• Reliable personal transportation
• Ability to travel to project sites and vendor showrooms throughout the Chicago North Shore area
• Available on a part-time basis as an independent contractor (1099)
