Freelance Interior Design Assistant

Job Description:

Luxury residential interior design firm is seeking a Freelance Design Assistant to join our team. The design assistant will work with designer through all phases of projects from concept through installation, including budgeting, scheduling, planning, development, and documentation.

Responsibilities:

· Routine tasks related to executing and managing design projects

· Assist designer with purchasing and tracking purchases; follow-up as needed

· Maintaining client budgets

· Order/Track samples

· Filling in where needed as business demands

· Assist in sourcing of furniture, fixtures, & finishes

· Product research

· Provide support on interiors projects

· Assist in the development of project presentations

· Follow-up on orders

Skills and Requirements:

· Detail-oriented, self-motivated, adaptive, with the ability to multi-task

· Excellent organizational and time management skills

· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

· Exhibit impeccable follow-up skills

· Working knowledge of techniques, products, and materials used in high-end residential environments

· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of design

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino, SketchUp, Blender and AutoCAD is a MUST

· Strong drawing skills required with 3D modeling, renderings, and floor plans
