Assistant IT Manager

Job Summary-Assistant IT Manager

The Assistant IT Manager supports the planning, implementation, and daily operations of the

organization’s IT infrastructure. This includes user account management, Microsoft Azure & cloud

services, Google Workspace (G Suite), server administration, ERP systems, and web hosting/website

management. The role requires a proactive approach to support, security, and technology optimization,

working closely with internal teams and vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

User Management & Access Control

Manage user accounts and permissions in Active Directory, Azure AD, and Google Workspace (G Suite).

Administer identity and access controls including role-based access (RBAC), MFA, and SSO.

Oversee user onboarding/offboarding across Microsoft 365 and Google environments.

Maintain licensing and ensure compliance with usage policies.

Cloud Services & Azure Administration

Maintain and support Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure including VMs, storage, and networking.

Implement and manage Azure AD, Intune, and Microsoft 365 services.

Monitor cloud usage, performance, and cost; recommend optimizations.

Support cloud backup, failover, and disaster recovery strategies.

Google Workspace (G Suite) Administration

Manage Google Workspace services including Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Calendar, and Groups.

Handle user provisioning, permissions, and security settings.

Support email routing, MX records, and email security settings.

Integrate Google services with other enterprise applications where applicable.

Server & Infrastructure Management

Manage on-premises and cloud-based servers (Windows/Linux).

Monitor performance, apply patches, perform routine maintenance, and ensure system uptime.

Support VMware, Hyper-V, or other virtualization technologies.

Manage internal DNS, DHCP, and file/print services.

ERP Systems Support

Provide technical support for ERP systems (Odoo, ERPNext or custom ERP).

Manage user roles and coordinate with vendors for issue resolution and updates.

Participate in ERP integration, migration, or enhancement projects.

Website & Web Hosting Management

Oversee the hosting, performance, and uptime of company websites.

Manage web hosting platforms (e.g., cPanel, Plesk, or cloud-based hosting).

Handle domain management, SSL certificates, DNS configurations, and site backups.

Coordinate with developers or third-party agencies for website updates and deployments.

Monitor website security, performance, and availability using tools like UptimeRobot or GTMetrix.

IT Operations & Helpdesk Support

Provide escalated support for hardware, software, and network issues.

Manage asset inventory, software licensing, and procurement.

Coordinate with vendors and service providers for IT services and support.

Maintain up-to-date documentation, including IT SOPs and system configurations.

Security & Compliance

Enforce IT security policies and support data protection initiatives.

Monitor systems for vulnerabilities and apply necessary patches.

Assist in compliance initiatives (ISO 27001, GDPR, etc.).

Support endpoint security and antivirus systems.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

Certifications (Preferred):

Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator

Google Workspace Admin certification

CompTIA Network+ / Security+

ITIL Foundation

ERP system certifications (e.g., Odoo, ERPNext

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED15,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
