Position Description:
Job Overview:
Responsible for customer satisfaction through positive and effective communication with customers, as well as the efficient operation of the store. Responsible for aiding the Store Manager to keep location in top running order.
Essential Job Functions include, but not limited to:
Coach, support, train, and provide a positive example to other team members
Maintain and monitor store inventory, alert Store Manager to any issues
Ensure that the store is safe, clean, and presentable for customers
Handle customer queries and complaints
Handle overall store operations in Managers absence
Ability to read and understand instructions for operating cash register, adding machine, and basic machines and equipment
Ability to stock shelves, coolers, and ice machine
Ability to tolerate exposure to cleaning materials
Ability to sweep and mop floors, dust shelves, lift and carry trash containers and place in an outside bin
Ability to clean the parking lot and grounds surrounding the convenience store
Manage customer transactions with a positive attitude
Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds
Ability to enter and work in a cooler at a temperature of 40 degrees for up to 30 minutes
Ability to occasionally work alone
Ability to handle high levels of stress
Regular and reliable attendance
Ability to operate in a constant state of alertness
Qualifications/Experience/Education
Must have a valid drivers license and reliable vehicle
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
