Assistant Manager Accounts
Job description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts professional to join our Bahawalpur office as Assistant Manager Accounts, with an immediate start. The successful candidate will support the Manager Accounts in handling a diverse portfolio of UK and Pakistan-based group companies, covering financial reporting, payroll, statutory compliance, and supervision of junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and review of financial statements for multiple UK group companies in line with applicable accounting standards.
- Handling Pakistan payroll along with SECP, FBR, EOBI, and PRA submissions for group entities and FBR annual returns for individuals.
- Review and handling of bookkeeping and supervision of bookkeeping carried out by junior staff.
- Support in UK compliances.
- Supplier payments processing, supplier reconciliations, and management of wages payments across group companies.
- Supervision of bookkeeping, petty cash, and invoicing functions performed by junior team members.
- Preparation of monthly budgets and costing and invoicing to clients.
- Handling ad-hoc assignments for group companies, including compliance, annual returns, and special projects..
- Working independently under pressure, meeting short and tight deadlines.
- Utilising strong analytical skills to conduct research and deliver error-free work.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- ACCA qualified with 3 years experience or articles / ACCA finalist with 3 years experience or articles / CA Inter with articles.
- Hands-on experience in payroll and FBR taxes.
- knowledge and experience of SECP and FBR returns.
- Prior experience in supervising a team of junior accountants/bookkeepers.
- Grip on accounting software QuickBooks online experience will be a plus.
- Excellent computer skills, with advanced hands-on experience in Microsoft Excel and MS Outlook.
- Good English communication skills, with the ability to understand British accents and handle direct client correspondence.
- Ability to work from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM Pakistan Standard Time.
