Assistant Manager - Accounts & Finance

Are you a highly motivated and experienced finance professional looking to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a dynamic Assistant Manager - Accounts & Finance to join our growing team in Karachi.

In this key leadership position, you will be instrumental in overseeing daily accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and contributing to the strategic financial planning of our operations. You will lead and mentor a dedicated team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment while serving as a crucial link between our Karachi office and our client base.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations for clients
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals, ensuring high performance and adherence to company policies
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets, providing insights and recommendations to management
  • Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and international accounting standards relevant to international client operations
  • Enhance and implement robust internal controls and financial policies to safeguard company assets
  • Coordinate and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes for timely reporting
  • Liaise effectively with international clients and internal stakeholders to resolve financial queries and provide accurate information
  • Contribute to strategic financial planning and budgeting efforts to support business growth
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations
  • Manage payroll processing and tax compliance as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; ACCA/CMA/CA (part qualified) preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead capacity
  • Proven expertise in Bookkeeping principles and practices
  • Excellent verbal and written Communication skills, particularly in English for international client interaction
  • Demonstrated ability in Team Management and fostering a productive work environment
  • Strong Leadership qualities with a proactive and problem-solving approach
  • Advanced Accounting Software Expertise (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Tally, SAP B1 or similar ERP systems)
  • In-depth understanding of financial regulations and reporting standards
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
