Job Title: Assistant manager Automation & MSE

Reports To: Deputy Manager – MSE & Automation

Job Summary:

The Assistant Manager – Automation will be responsible for supporting, implementing, and optimizing automation systems within the manufacturing environment. The role will focus on improving production efficiency, ensuring reliability of automated systems, and driving continuous improvement initiatives aligned with the company’s operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

· Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of automation systems (PLC, SCADA, robotics, conveyors, pick & place, etc.).

· Monitor performance of automation equipment and ensure maximum uptime.

· Troubleshoot automation issues and coordinate corrective actions.

· Analyze production processes and identify opportunities for automation.

· Drive efficiency improvements, cycle time reduction, and cost optimization through automation projects.

· Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure seamless integration of automation systems.

· Lead small to mid-scale automation projects from planning to execution.

· Work with vendors, suppliers, and system integrators for implementation.

· Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in all automation projects.

· Coordinate with IT and Manufacturing Engineering for system integration and data management.

· Track KPIs related to automation performance (OEE, downtime, cycle time, etc.).

· Propose and implement improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability.

· Prepare regular reports and presentations for management review.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering (Master’s preferred).
  • Experience: 5–8 years of experience in automation engineering within manufacturing, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory/assistant manager role.
  • Skills:

· Strong knowledge of industrial automation, robotics, and machine integration.

· Proficiency in troubleshooting PLC/HMI/SCADA systems.

· Knowledge of Industry 4.0, IIoT, and smart manufacturing concepts is an advantage.
