We are seeking a result-driven
Assistant Manager – Business Development
to drive revenue growth, build strategic partnerships, and expand our market presence. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, managing proposals, and achieving sales targets. This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
Key Responsibilities
Business Growth & Strategy

Identify and prospect new business opportunities in target markets (B2B/B2C as applicable).

Develop and execute account penetration strategies for key verticals.

Conduct market research to track trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.

Build a healthy sales pipeline through cold outreach, networking, lead follow-ups, and partnerships.
Client Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers (C-level, VPs, Heads of Dept).

Understand client pain points and map them to the company’s products/services.

Act as the primary point of contact during the pre-sales and proposal stage.
Sales & Revenue Targets

Achieve monthly/quarterly revenue and acquisition targets.

Prepare and deliver high-impact sales presentations, demos, and proposals.

Lead commercial negotiations, pricing discussions, and contract closure.

Coordinate with legal and finance teams to finalize MSAs, NDAs, and SOWs.
Cross-functional Collaboration

Work closely with marketing to design lead generation campaigns.

Partner with product/delivery teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible and profitable.

Provide feedback to internal teams on product gaps or market demands.
Reporting & Administration

Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and forecasts in CRM (Salesforce/HubSpot/Zoho).

Prepare weekly/monthly dashboards and pipeline reviews for management.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).

3–6 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or key account management.

Demonstrated track record of meeting/exceeding revenue targets.
Core Skills

Strong understanding of B2B/consultative selling and solution-based sales.

Excellent verbal and written communication – including proposal writing and presentation skills.

Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and lead generation platforms (LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Lusha, ZoomInfo, etc.).

Ability to handle rejection, stay persistent, and close deals.
