Role Overview
The Assistant Manager supports the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining food quality standards, and assisting in team management and cost control to achieve operational and business targets.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Support
- Assist in managing day-to-day restaurant operations
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs, food safety, hygiene, and quality standards
- Monitor service flow and resolve operational issues during shifts
Team Management
- Support in supervising, training, and scheduling restaurant staff
- Ensure staff discipline, grooming, and performance standards
- Act as shift-in-charge in the absence of the Restaurant Manager
Customer Service
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service quality
- Handle customer complaints and feedback professionally
Inventory & Cost Control
- Assist in stock monitoring, ordering, and wastage control
- Support in cost control and basic sales analysis
Reporting
- Prepare daily operational reports and assist in monthly summaries
- Communicate operational updates to the Restaurant Manager
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience as Assistant Manager / Supervisor in Casual Dining
- Good knowledge of restaurant operations and customer service
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
