Position: Assistant Manager – Finance

Job Summary
The Assistant Manager – Finance supports the finance department in managing financial planning, reporting, budgeting, and compliance. The role ensures accurate financial records, supports decision-making through financial analysis, and assists in maintaining strong internal controls and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Assist in closing accounts and preparing management reports.
2. Budgeting & Forecasting
- Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor actual performance against budgets and analyze variances.
- Provide recommendations for cost control and financial improvements.
3. Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Supervise daily accounting activities including AP, AR, and general ledger.
- Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial transactions.
- Ensure proper documentation and maintenance of financial records.
4. Cash Flow & Financial Analysis
- Monitor company cash flow and liquidity.
- Prepare financial analysis and reports for management decision-making.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities in financial performance.
5. Compliance & Audit
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, tax laws, and company policies.
- Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits.
- Support internal audits and implement recommended improvements.
6. Team Support & Coordination
- Supervise and guide junior finance staff or accountants.
- Coordinate with other departments regarding financial matters.
- Assist the Finance Manager in strategic financial planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent) preferred.
Experience
- 5–7 years of experience in finance or accounting roles.
- Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Good leadership and communication skills.
