The Assistant Manager – Finance is responsible for overseeing day-to-day banking operations, managing financial transactions, supporting payroll processes, and ensuring efficient handling of cash flows and financial controls. The role also provides overall assistance to the Finance Manager in maintaining smooth financial operations and compliance.



Banking & Treasury Operations


  • Handle all banking activities, including domestic and international bank transfers
  • Manage international fund transfers and ensure compliance with banking regulations
  • Monitor bank balances and maintain adequate liquidity across accounts
  • Oversee and execute internal fund transfers between accounts


Trade Finance


  • Manage opening and handling of Letters of Credit (LCs)
  • Process and administer Bank Guarantees (BGs)


Payroll & Payments


  • Oversee salary processing and ensure timely payroll transfers
  • Handle all payroll-related bank transactions
  • Supervise petty cash management, approvals, and disbursements
  • Monitor and approve cash payments and vouchers


Financial Monitoring & Controls


  • Track and reconcile bank balances regularly
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions
  • Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for all payments


Support to Finance Manager


  • Provide overall assistance in financial planning and execution
  • Support in managing financial matters, reporting, and compliance
  • Assist in implementing financial policies and internal controls





Requirements

Qualifications & Skills


  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA/CA/ACCA preferred)
  • 3–6 years of experience in finance or treasury operations
  • Strong understanding of banking, payroll, and financial processes
  • Knowledge of LC, BG, and international banking procedures
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
Working Relationships
  • Internal: Finance team, HR (for payroll), senior management
  • External: Banks, financial institutions, auditors
