About the Job:

An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Manager - Finance Business Partner

Accounts Receivable to join Dubai Holding Real Estate. The job holder will be responsible for business partnering activities and collaboration with shared services for Accounts Receivable (AR) and other services functions.


Key job responsibilities :

Business Partnering

  • Liaise with business partners within and outside the Company to conclude contracts and transactions.
  • Monitor the SLA with shared services and collaborate with shared services on day-to-day activities to ensure consistent service delivery and compliance with the shared services Performance KPIs.
  • Monitor the execution of SLA with third parties, in collaboration with shared services to ensure consistent service delivery and compliance with the Performance KPIs.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across functions in a fast-paced environment, able to provide solution to issues in order to foster collaboration, identify problems proactively, and develop effective solutions.
  • Work on projects / initiatives as assigned including any corporate level projects to contribute to overall company goals and demonstrate adaptability.
  • Responsible for maintaining functional procedures, internal controls, and reporting in conformity with company procedures, group policies, IFRS and laws, regulations and statutes while directing specific areas within the overall department operation.


Accounts Receivable Operations

  • Review post-handover payment plan (PHPP) buy out proposals ensuring adherence to the Company’s policies and procedures.
  • Perform monthly review of staff commission for land sales for accurate commission calculations. Seek approvalfor write-offs as per Company policy.
  • Monitor and analyze customer accounts receivable to identify and address overdue payments promptly,facilitating effective debt collection and cash flow management.
  • Prepare monthly collection reports and performs ageing analysis for the management.


Reporting and Audits

  • Review monthly complex revenue recognition workings based on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) to ensure accurate and compliant revenue reporting according to IFRS.
  • Support shared services in monthly closing activities.
  • Review of monthly reports for management and statutory reporting to provide key financial insights for decision-making and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Review of reconciliation of revenue and costs of sales on a project to date basis to identify discrepancies and ensure project profitability.
  • Review Accounts Receivable schedules, received from shared services to identify any potential bad debts and ensure accurate tracking of customer payments.
  • For activities not managed by shared services, act as a focal point for statutory audits requests from Reporting team / Internal Audit etc. to facilitate effective communication and coordination between the finance department and auditors, ensuring timely and accurate provision of requested information for audit purposes.


Others

  • Ensure the department's objectives are effectively implemented and the integrity of financial accounting is maintained by guaranteeing all accounting transactions in these areas comply with corporate policies and procedures.
  • Develop policies, processes, procedures, and practices related to the above areas to ensure adequate financial controls across transactions relating to these functions.
  • Conduct assessment of internal control measures for the function and recommend changes or enhancements to the existing ones to meet the changing business requirements as well as the complexity of financial transactions being entered.
  • Evaluate the general accounting activities using standard process methodologies and recommend enhancements/ changes as appropriate.
  • Facilitate all audits process for assigned area and ensure timely completion of the same. Implement audit recommendation in the department and ensure team complies with same.
  • Actively seek automation of controls across DHRE through efficient use of financial systems and innovative technology to enhance and continuously improve the design and monitoring of controls.


About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACA)/Certified Public Accountant (CPA)/ the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Qualified
  • Minimum 5-7 years of professional experience in managing high volume of receivables in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Accounts Receivable credit control management experience will be advantageous
  • Strong IFRS Knowledge, VAT Compliance, hands on accounting and operational experience in related industry (Real Estate or Construction).
  • Working Knowledge of Oracle Fusion, Unifier and salesforce.
  • Ability to work with and interpret data related to accounts receivable collections.

  • Attention to detail and able to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines.
