Role Purpose:

The role is responsible for ensuring a safe and compliant working environment by implementing and maintaining the Group Health & Safety (H&S) Policy and management systems in line with local legislation. This includes developing and applying H&S guidelines, conducting risk assessments and audits, coordinating training, monitoring safety data, and driving a proactive safety culture across the site. The position also ensures timely reporting, investigation, and follow-up of incidents while providing management with accurate performance insights and actionable plans to achieve continuous improvement in H&S standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain the effectiveness of the group H&S Policy and management system to meet all local legislation requirements.
  • Developing the necessary H&S guidelines based on specific local requirements and helping the relevant departments to implement both local & global guidelines.
  • Conduct & facilitate internal safety audits, inspections according to H&S management system & work with the unit’s safety committee on H&S communication; to promote H&S culture.
  • To make sure that the employees, visitors, contracted labor & general contractor on site receive necessary safety training to fulfill their job requirements and safety responsibilities.
  • To ensure that all areas of hazards and risk within the site are identified through performing regular tasks & risk assessment in coordination & involvement of concerned employees.
  • Analyze & monitor respective site H&S data according to the management system & review regularly to make sure data is correctly entered with quality of inputs.
  • Timely reporting of all incidents and ensuring that all serious accidents and near-misses are investigated promptly and necessary actions are taken to prevent recurrence.
  • To develop clear and achievable action plans that address the shortfalls in compliance with both the group H&S system and local legal requirements.
  • Ensures that documentation concerning the H&S department of respective sites is up to date.
  • Monitor, collect, and analyze safety data to track performance against established KPIs.
  • Develop and prepare regular reports, dashboards, and presentations on safety Key performance indicators for management and all levels of the organization.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Graduate in Science, with professional certification preferred (IOSH / NEBOSH).
  • 2–3 years of hands-on experience managing Health & Safety matters in a manufacturing environment.
