Role OverviewThe Assistant Manager – HR will be responsible for strengthening our people processes, talent pool, and employee engagement. This role blends statutory HR compliance with proactive talent acquisition, attrition management, and employee development. The ideal candidate is agile, hands-on, and thrives in a startup environment.

Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & HiringSource, screen, and onboard talent across functions (R&D, operations, commercial, and admin).Build a pipeline of ad hoc/project-based employees and consultants.Partner with hiring managers in India and the USA for role scoping, job posting, and candidate evaluation.
Workforce ManagementManage ad hoc and contractual employees with full compliance. Monitor and streamline employee lifecycle activities (onboarding, attendance, contracts, exit formalities).
Attrition & RetentionDevelop employee engagement strategies to reduce attrition.Conduct stay interviews, analyze exit data, and implement retention initiatives. Support ESOPs, recognition programs, and career path frameworks.
Learning & DevelopmentDeliver skills-based training (communication, teamwork, problem-solving, professional effectiveness). Coordinate external trainers for technical/leadership modules.Track training impact and maintain continuous development programs.
Compliance & HR OperationsHandle statutory HR functions (PF, ESIC, minimum wage, Shops & Establishments, labor laws).Maintain accurate HRMS data, employee files, and reporting mechanisms for India & USA.

Desired Candidate Profile
MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or related field
3–6 years of HR experience (preferably startups, agritech, biotech)
Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws + exposure to global HR practices
Proven ability in recruitment, retention, and training
Empathy, adaptability & problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills (English, Hindi; other languages a plus)
