Assistant Manager IT

Job Summary:

The Assistant Manager – IT Infrastructure is responsible for supporting the planning, implementation, maintenance, and performance of the organization’s IT infrastructure, including network systems (Wireless, Fiber Networks), Cloud productivity suits, and security platforms. This role ensures high availability, reliability, and scalability of IT systems to support business operations effectively.

Key Responsibilities:Infrastructure Management

- Assist in managing and maintaining on-premises and cloud infrastructure, including physical, virtual and cloud servers, storage systems, VOIP and backup solutions.

- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize infrastructure for maximum efficiency and uptime.

- Plan and coordinate system upgrades and patch management.

Network & Security

- Oversee network infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, routers, VPNs, and wireless systems.

- Implement and maintain IT security protocols, firewall policies, endpoint protection, and compliance controls.

- Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

Team & Project Support

- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot infrastructure-related issues.

- Guide junior IT staff and provide technical expertise to resolve complex issues.

- Assist in vendor management, procurement, and IT asset lifecycle.

Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain infrastructure documentation, configurations, and system architecture.

Support & Service Delivery

- Ensure high-quality service delivery.

- Provide Level 1/2/3 support for infrastructure-related issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management or a similar role.

- Strong hands-on experience with Windows/Linux servers, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and networking.

- Solid knowledge of security best practices, firewalls (e.g., FortiGate), and backup solutions e.g Veeam.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) is a plus.

- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

- IT certifications such as CCNA, MCSE, VCP, or equivalent are preferred.

Pay: AED9,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month
