Assistant Manager IT

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Assistant Manager – IT to support IT operations, infrastructure, and customer services. The ideal candidate must possess strong hands-on experience in network administration, IT support, systems management, and team coordination, along with the ability to work closely with customers, vendors, and internal sales teams to deliver effective technology solutions.

The position will report to the Senior IT Manager and will support IT service delivery, infrastructure activities, and customer requirements under the guidance and direction of the Senior IT Manager.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an Assistant Manager, Team Lead or similar leadership role.
  • 5–8 years of overall IT experience with hands-on experience in networking, systems, and IT support.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in customer support, IT services, and pre-sales technical assistance.
  • Experience coordinating with vendors, obtaining quotations, and supporting procurement activities.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, documentation, customer handling, and team leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently, and support business requirements.
  • Valid UAE Driving License preferred.

Key Responsibilities

1. IT Service Desk & End-User Support

  • Provide Level 2 and Level 3 IT support to users for hardware, software, applications, and connectivity issues.
  • Support Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and related services.
  • Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, biometric devices, mobile devices, etc., and user access issues.
  • Manage incidents, service requests, escalations, and ensure SLA compliance.
  • Provide remote and on-site technical support to users.
  • Support user accounts, permissions, endpoint security, and access control requirements.
  • Assist with cybersecurity awareness, endpoint protection, and security best practices.

2. Infrastructure & Technical Support

  • Manage internal and client IT infrastructure including networks, servers, cloud services, and related systems.
  • Support LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, firewalls, switches, routers, and server environments.
  • Perform installation, configuration, maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting of IT infrastructure.
  • Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, and security to ensure smooth operations.
  • Support infrastructure projects, deployments, migrations, backups, and disaster recovery activities.
  • Conduct infrastructure health checks and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain technical documentation, configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Coordinate with vendors, clients, and internal teams for technical support and issue resolution.

3. Surveillance & Access Control Systems

  • Manage and support CCTV systems including Hikvision platforms.
  • Administer biometric attendance and access control systems.
  • Ensure operational availability of surveillance and security infrastructure.

4. Customer Coordination, Vendor Pricing

  • Understand customer requirements and propose suitable IT solutions.
  • Coordinate with vendors to obtain pricing, quotations, and technical information as and when required.
  • Support the sales team in preparing quotations, proposals, BOQs, and customer submissions as required and as directed by the Senior IT Manager. Participate in customer meetings and provide technical assistance during solution discussions.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for successful project delivery and customer support.

5. Training, Certification & Professional Development

  • Successfully complete vendor-specific training and certification programs as required by the company and business partners.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices, technology trends, and product developments.

Pay: AED4,500.00 - AED7,500.00 per month
