Role Overview
The Assistant Manager – Legal will play a key role in overseeing the organization’s legal framework, ensuring compliance with UAE laws, and supporting business operations through strategic legal guidance. This role requires a balance of hands-on legal execution and supervisory responsibility, contributing to risk mitigation and business continuity.
Key Responsibilities 1. Legal Advisory & Business Support
- Provide proactive legal advice to management on corporate, commercial, and operational matters
- Partner with departments (HR, Procurement, Sales, Finance) to structure legally compliant processes and policies
- Interpret UAE laws and regulations, ensuring alignment with business objectives
2. Contract Management & Governance
- Lead drafting, reviewing, and negotiation of complex contracts, agreements, and MOAs
- Establish contract management frameworks, templates, and approval workflows
- Ensure contractual risk is identified, assessed, and mitigated
3. Compliance & Regulatory Affairs
- Ensure full compliance with UAE Labour Law, corporate laws, and industry regulations
- Monitor regulatory changes and implement necessary internal updates
- Oversee company licensing, statutory filings, and legal documentation
4. Dispute Resolution & Litigation Management
- Manage legal disputes, claims, and escalations
- Coordinate with external legal counsel on litigation, arbitration, and settlements
- Develop strategies to minimize legal exposure and financial risk
5. Lease & Property Legal Matters
- Oversee lease agreements, renewals, and dispute resolution
- Ensure compliance with property laws and contractual obligations
6. Intellectual Property Protection
- Manage trademarks, copyrights, and brand protection initiatives
- Coordinate registrations, renewals, and enforcement actions
7. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain a centralized legal repository for contracts and case files
- Provide periodic reports to senior management on legal risks, case status, and compliance metrics
8. Team Leadership & Process Improvement
- Guide and mentor junior legal staff (if applicable)
- Drive process improvements in legal operations and documentation
- Implement best practices for legal risk management and efficiency
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB); Master’s degree preferred
- 6–8 years of legal experience in the UAE
- Strong expertise in corporate, commercial, and labour law
- Proven experience in contract negotiation and dispute management
- Ability to work independently while handling multiple priorities
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage
Preferred Experience
- Background in FMCG, manufacturing, or distribution sectors
- Exposure to intellectual property and regulatory compliance frameworks
- Experience managing external counsel and cross-functional stakeholders

Pay: AED9,000.00 - AED11,000.00 per month
