Qualification & Experience :
- Master in Library & Information Sciences (MLIS) from HEC recognized University with minimum 5 years of experience in public libraries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage collections of books and journals (both paper and electronic).
- Security and maintenance of library books and other Items.
- Maintain discipline in the library.
- Look after all issues of library/BR and book bank section.
- Keep liaison between books/suppliers/subscription agencies and college administrators regarding purchase/subscription of books/magazines/journals.
- Maintain all library accounts.
- Supervise all library staff.
- Conduct internal and external audit.
- Initiate action to retrieve books from students and officers which are overdue.
- Ensure efficient working of library/BR and book bank sections.
- Take charge of new books, magazines etc.
- Efficient working of computerize library access system and custody, repair/maintenance of related computer hardware, software, printer, photocopier machine etc in library.
- Ensure that no book and other Item are lost or damaged.
- Management of an efficient system to track circulation of books.
- Deal with budgets in relation to allocated subject areas/departments and, in some cases, resources.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Individuals have experience in the use/ implementation of computer-based information systems for publication/literature search will be preferred.
- A librarian should possess strong knowledge of library science principles, cataloguing systems, digital databases, KOHA and information retrieval techniques. Key skills include effective communication, IT proficiency, organization, problem-solving, and user support.
- They must be able to manage resources efficiently, assist diverse users, adapt to evolving technologies, and uphold professional ethics.
- Core competencies such as information management, digital literacy, teamwork, and commitment to continuous learning are essential for delivering high-quality library services in an academic environment.

- Last education certificate/degree must be attested/verified by HEC.

- 3rd Div in academic career / weak academic profile.
- In process of pursuing a required degree.
- Only selected candidates will be contacted and issued offer letter.
- Candidates serving in Govt departments, Armed forces may apply after seeking NOC from their respective parent department / organizations.
- Late / incomplete applications will be ignored.
- Only short-listed candidates will be considered / called for test / interview and no TA / DA will be admissible.
