Assistant Manager – Production (Plastics Division)

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Manager – Production for our Plastics Division in Jeddah. The ideal candidate will support the Production Manager in overseeing daily manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining quality standards, and meeting production targets. The role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge of plastic manufacturing processes, and the ability to manage production teams effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Production Manager in planning, organizing, and supervising daily production activities in the plastics manufacturing unit.
  • Ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Monitor and optimize plastic processing operations such as injection molding, extrusion, or blow molding.
  • Coordinate with maintenance, quality control, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth production flow.
  • Implement and monitor process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce production costs.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the production facility.
  • Supervise production staff and provide training, guidance, and performance monitoring.
  • Maintain production records, reports, and documentation for management review.
  • Identify and troubleshoot production issues and equipment-related problems to minimize downtime.
  • Ensure proper inventory control of raw materials and finished goods within the production line.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Polymer, Chemical, or related discipline).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in plastics manufacturing or production management.
  • Strong knowledge of plastic processing technologies (Injection Molding, Extrusion, Blow Molding, etc.).
  • Experience in production planning, process optimization, and team management.
  • Familiarity with quality control standards and safety regulations in manufacturing environments.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with ERP systems and production management software.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma practices.
  • Good communication and reporting skills.
