Assistant Manager Production – Plastics & Packaging

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager Production to support and oversee daily manufacturing operations in the plastics and packaging unit. The role focuses on production efficiency, quality assurance, cost control, and team coordination to ensure smooth operations and timely order fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing day-to-day production operations
• Support production planning and scheduling to meet targets
• Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and hygiene standards
• Monitor machine performance, downtime, and material usage
• Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
• Coordinate with maintenance, QA, and supply chain teams
• Prepare production reports and monitor KPIs
• Supervise production staff and ensure proper shift management
• Support implementation of ISO, GMP, and HSE standards

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Polymer / Industrial / Production Management
• 5–8 years of experience in plastics or packaging manufacturing
• Hands-on experience with injection molding, blow molding, extrusion, or thermoforming
• Knowledge of packaging materials, processes, and quality control
• Strong problem-solving and team management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Preferred Skills

• Experience in food-grade or FMCG packaging
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement
• Experience with ERP / production management systems
