Position Overview

The Asst Manager Supply Chain is responsible for overseeing and managing the company’s supply chain and procurement operations to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely availability of materials. The role involves vendor management, contract negotiations, inventory control, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Manage procurement of raw materials, equipment, and services at the best possible price, quality, and delivery terms.
  • Identify, evaluate, and build relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable conditions.
  • Monitor supplier performance, quality standards, and delivery timelines.
  • Oversee inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels and avoid shortages or overstock.
  • Collaborate with operations, production, and finance teams to forecast demand and align procurement accordingly.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and sustainability practices.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement in supply chain processes.
  • Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and supply chain efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in supply chain, procurement, or supply management roles.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of supply chain processes, inventory control, and vendor management.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
