The Assistant Manager – Taxation at Simpaisa will be responsible for managing and supporting the company’s taxation function, including tax planning, compliance, reporting, and coordination with tax authorities. The role ensures timely and accurate tax filings while maintaining compliance with applicable local and regulatory tax laws.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of effective tax strategies.
- Monitor changes in tax regulations and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
- Prepare, review, and manage timely filing of Income Tax,Sales Tax,Withholding Tax,Sindh Sales Tax (SST),All other statutory returns
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual tax computations, including deferred tax calculations.
- Oversee withholding tax deductions, deposits, and issuance of withholding tax certificates.
- Handle tax assessments, audits, notices, appeals, and correspondence with tax authorities such as FBR, SRB, PRA, etc.
- Conduct tax analysis for new business initiatives and review contracts for tax compliance.
- Maintain comprehensive tax documentation and support internal and external audits.
- Prepare periodic tax reports and identify tax planning opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external consultants to ensure accurate tax accounting in ERP systems.
- Provide advisory support on taxation matters and stay updated on local and international tax developments.
Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
- Professional certification preferred: CA / ACCA / ICMA.
- 3–5 years of relevant taxation experience; exposure to multinational or group environments is an advantage.
