Job Overview:

Here’s your opportunity to join Dubai Holding Entertainment as an Assistant Manager – Technical Services . In this role, you will ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Technical Services Department by leading Senior Supervisors, Supervisors, Technicians, and contractors. You will oversee the daily operations and maintenance of rides, slides, equipment, tools, and facilities within your area of expertise, while supporting the health and safety of colleagues, contractors, and guests, and coordinating with other departments to ensure operational readiness before, during, and after park operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assign work schedules and tasks to Senior Supervisors, Supervisors and Technicians; monitor activities and performance, and implement development and motivation plans.
• Ensure completion of mandatory competency-based training programs; assess team competencies and support continuous professional development.
• Ensure full compliance with all company and departmental policies, guidelines, SOPs, and manuals at all times.
• Conduct daily team briefings, communicate updated park information, and set clear daily objectives.
• Review and analyze data from routine inspections and maintenance activities; prepare and submit daily reports and official correspondence to the Technical Service leadership team.
• Read, interpret, and apply safety guidelines, operating procedures, maintenance instructions, and technical manuals.
• Monitor the safe handling, storage, and disposal of toxic substances and hazardous waste in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.
• Monitor life support systems, water quality, and water treatment facilities to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permit conditions.
• Inspect departmental areas, rides and equipment identify improvement opportunities and ensure cleanliness, organization, and housekeeping standards are maintained.
• Ensure adequate inventory levels of spare parts, tools, and equipment; optimize usage and raise purchase requisitions in line with company procurement policies.
• Collaborate with other team members and ensure accurate shift and task handovers.
• Ensure maximum operational availability of all equipment across the parks.
• Oversee and support periodic inspections and preventive maintenance of rides, slides, playground equipment, life support systems, and water treatment facilities.
• Ensure third-party inspections of rides and equipment are carried out in compliance with local regulatory requirements.
• Lead fault diagnosis and troubleshooting activities during equipment standstills to minimize downtime and restore operations promptly.
• Manage water balance adjustments and chemical dosing in accordance with corporate standards and local regulatory authority requirements.
• Supervise Technical Services stores and warehouse operations.

About You:

• Diploma or technical certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering field.
• Minimum of 8 years of combined relevant experience in technical troubleshooting, maintenance planning, and team leadership.
• At least 5 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, as a mechanic—preferably in Aquatic Life Support Systems or waterpark maintenance.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, with hands-on knowledge of water ride systems, pumps, HVAC, PLCs, and associated infrastructure
• Proven experience in preventive and corrective maintenance planning, scheduling, and maintenance documentation systems.
• Solid understanding of safety standards, HSE requirements, and emergency response procedures.
