Assistant Operations Manager

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Operations Manager in overseeing the execution of construction supervision projects across different regions.
  • Monitor and track project progress, manpower deployment, schedules, and deliverables to ensure alignment with contracts.
  • Assist in preparing operational plans, project budgets, and resource allocation for CMS projects.
  • Coordinate between project teams, technical disciplines, and head office functions (HR, Finance, Contracts, Procurement).
  • Review and consolidate progress reports, KPIs, and dashboards from supervision sites for management review.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards on all supervised projects.
  • Participate in client and stakeholder meetings, supporting the Operations Manager in addressing operational matters.
  • Contribute to recruitment planning, mobilization, and demobilization of supervision staff as per project requirements.
  • Support audits, quality control assessments, and corrective action implementation across supervision projects.
  • Identify operational risks and challenges, and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in construction management, site supervision, or operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership/support role.
  • Strong understanding of Saudi construction industry standards, regulations, and codes.
  • Experience with mega and giga projects is highly desirable.
  • Excellent reporting, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (Primavera P6, MS Project) and MS Office Suite.
  • Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
