ASSISTANT OPERATIONS MANAGER LAUNDRY

Summary

The Assistant Operations Manager Laundry at the Hyatt Regency Denver at the Colorado Convention Center helps with the management of the day to day laundry operations including linens, sheets and towels. May also be responsible for guest laundry, dry cleaning and other hotels in the area.

Duties include the understanding & operation capability of each piece of laundry equipment such as ironers, washing machines & dryers. Candidate may also be responsible for scheduling and cost control.

Previous laundry supervision experience preferred; previous supervisory experience is required. Candidates should enjoy working in a fast paced, team-oriented environment. Good communication and organization skills are required, along with computer proficiency. This position involves a considerable amount of standing and walking. Candidates must be able to lift, push and carry a moderate amount of weight on a consistent basis. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

Qualifications for this position -

  • Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line.
  • Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays along with AM and/or PM shifts.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift, pull, and push a moderate weight (about 50 pounds).
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.

Salary range for this position is $56,300.00 - $67,400.00.
