Assistant Procurement Manager

We're Hiring: Assistant Manager – Procurement | Godrej Agrovet Limited | Nashik

Experience: 3+ years of procurement experience in agri-commodities, feed, or allied industries.

Role Overview

You will be responsible for end-to-end sourcing of raw materials , market intelligence, supplier management, logistics coordination, and digital procurement initiatives. This role demands strong commercial acumen, deep understanding of agri-commodity markets, and extensive on-ground exposure.

Key Responsibilities

• Procure agri-commodities, animal and vegetable proteins for feed manufacturing

• Develop and execute short & long-term procurement strategies

• Conduct field crop surveys, direct farmer interactions, and market assessments

• Track domestic & global commodity trends, pricing, and supply chain dynamics

• Leverage SAP MM, digital sourcing tools, e-auctions, and analytics dashboards

• Coordinate with production, supply chain & finance to ensure supply continuity

• Manage supplier relationships, audits, performance, and compliance

• Support import operations, inbound logistics, and cost optimization initiatives

What We’re Looking For

• 3–4 years of relevant experience in agri-commodities, feed, or allied industries

• Strong negotiation, commercial, and analytical skills

• Hands-on experience in strategic sourcing, market intelligence & import-led buying

• Experience with SAP MM, e-auctions, or digital procurement tools (preferred)

• Willingness to travel extensively across markets and supplier locations

• Strong communication & stakeholder management
