Job Description – Assistant Project Manager

Overview
The Assistant Project Manager collaborates with technical specialists and support functions to ensure the correct support mechanisms and expertise are applied for effective project delivery — typically assisting a Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities
Operations
Ensure all access issues are resolved prior to project commencement.
Confirm availability and utilization of resources (equipment, vehicles, etc.) for Oil & Gas Infrastructure projects.
Develop positive relationships with Oil & Gas company operational staff.
Build strong relationships with key governmental and agency staff.
Maintain a database of all operational costs and provide this data monthly to operations and commercial teams.
Delegate tasks to assigned staff.
Support the Project Manager or Operations Manager in executing tasks.
Execute work within project targets, specifications, procedures, and work practices.
Liaise directly with clients on contractual and operational issues.
Financial
Assist the Project Manager in financial matters including invoicing and payments
Accountable for own project and business-related expenditures.

Qualifications / Skills / Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Project Management.
Up to 2 years of experience in project delivery or commercial roles.
Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
Conversant with relevant equipment/software.
Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
