HyperSpace is a Dubai/Riyadh based future forward entertainment company, building a new format of location based entertainment linking physical and digital experience and customer engagement. Our parks sit at the convergence of social media arena and real world video game, engaging our audience meaningfully through an IRL physical experience and through digital engagement and gameplay post-visit.

Our parks are powered by tokens and digital assets, and run on a game economy mirroring AAA gaming environments, and are purpose built for a new generation of content creators and players.

To date we have opened up our entertainment attractions - AYA - a 40,000sq-ft digital immersive experience park located in Dubai, which is seeing an average of 2,000 visitors a day and House of Hype Riyadh - a 60,000sq-ft at Riyadh Boulevard and House of Hype - a 100,000sq-ft at Dubai Mall.

Role overview

Our ideal candidate for this position is a technical leader with deep knowledge of Audio, Visual, and Lighting systems, and experience managing operations across multiple venues. You have a passion for immersive environments, enjoy solving complex technical challenges, and can lead a team of specialists to deliver flawless, high-impact experiences.

Role responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the in-house AVL team across all venues (HOH and AYA): manage daily tasks, provide technical guidance, evaluate team performance, and organize training sessions;
• Develop and implement an AVL strategy that ensures stable, reliable daily operations across venues;
• Coordinate the installation, maintenance, and optimization of audio, visual, and lighting systems;
• Plan and oversee equipment and consumables procurement, vendor relations, and upgrade schedules within approved budgets;
• Supervise content integration, system calibration, and show control for new experiences, events, and updates of existing installations;
• Maintain up-to-date documentation, SOPs, and safety standards for all technical systems and operations;
• Drive innovation by testing and introducing new technologies and software solutions across existing venues.

About you

• At least 5 years of experience in AVL system integration or operations management, preferably in theme parks or immersive venues;
• At least 3 years in a leadership role managing technical teams;
• Proficiency with media servers, media players, lighting consoles, and audio networking systems (Modulo Pi, Pixera, Christie Pandoras Box, MA Lighting, HOG, Dante, Q-SYS);
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, AV Technology, or a related field;
• Professional certification such as AVIXA CTS / CTS-D / CTS-I is a plus;
• English proficiency at an Upper-Intermediate level or higher.
