Assistant Project Manager - Non-ATVAM PMO Org

Position Objective:

The Assistant Project Manager (Project Controller) is a Level 4 role supporting the assigned Project Manager across two designated field regions within a Tahakom PMO. The role manages contractor interfaces, tracks project progress, and oversees site administration and issue escalation. In addition, the role manages work orders (WOs) and change requests (CRs), oversees the handling of related invoices, and monitors and resolves any discrepancies or deviations from the planned workflow — providing consistent, hands-on support to sustain seamless delivery across both regions.

Job Description & Responsibilities:

  • Support the assigned Project Manager across two designated field regions.
  • Manage contractor interfaces across assigned regions, ensuring performance against agreed scope and schedule.
  • Track project progress and maintain accurate schedules, trackers, and status reports.
  • Oversee site administration activities within the designated regions.
  • Identify issues and escalate to the Project Manager in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with internal PMO teams, contractors, and regional stakeholders to support smooth execution.
  • Support preparation of project documentation, reports, and progress updates.
  • Follow up on action items across both regions and ensure timely closure.
  • Assist in managing project timelines and deliverables.
  • Conduct site visits and provide on-ground coordination support as required.
  • Communicate project status and regional updates to the Project Manager.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in project coordination, site administration, or contractor management (infrastructure, construction, or telecom programs preferred).
  • Working knowledge of project management principles and tools (scheduling, progress tracking, reporting).
  • Experience interfacing with contractors and multi-stakeholder site environments.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification (or actively pursuing) is an advantage.
