If you answered yes, Assistant Prosecuting Attorney may be the position for you. We’ve got positions opening in our Criminal division.

The successful candidate will perform duties associated with warrant writing, negotiating settlements, trying District and Circuit Court misdemeanor and felony cases and appearing in various courts of the County as a representative of the Office of the Prosecutor. Will perform legal research, and discuss legal problems with citizens, officials, and law enforcement agencies.

Minimum Qualifications

Required: Graduation from an accredited law school and membership in the State Bar of Michigan. Those that have taken the State Bar Exam but are still awaiting results may be considered. Working knowledge of accepted courtroom practices and procedures, knowledge of legal research and reference sources, and basic computer literacy are required.
