Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Purchase Executive to support the PPC department in managing raw material procurement and planning in a steel manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, managing inventory, and ensuring timely material availability for production processes like cutting, slitting, and shearing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan raw material requirements based on production schedules and coordinate timely procurement.
- Generate purchase orders using ERP software and ensure proper documentation.
- Follow up with suppliers for order status, delivery timelines, and resolve delays or issues.
- Negotiate rates with vendors to ensure cost-effective procurement without compromising quality.
- Plan and coordinate raw material for circle cutting, slitting, shearing, and other job work purposes.
- Ensure timely availability of raw materials to maintain uninterrupted production.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct reconciliation, and update stock records regularly.
- Submit raw material bills to the Accounts department and follow up for payment processing and clearance.
- Address any quality issues upon receipt of raw materials and coordinate with suppliers for resolution.
Required Skills:
- Experience in raw material procurement and job work coordination in the steel industry.
- Proficiency in ERP software for purchase and inventory management.
- Strong knowledge of Advanced Excel and Google Sheets for reporting and tracking.
- Good negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills.
- Attention to detail with strong analytical and organizational abilities.
- Familiarity with quality checks and material specifications for steel products
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
