About the Role


The Assistant Receiver is responsible for the receiving of goods as required under the direction of the Receiver to achieve the lowest cost solution with the least risk and in adherence with Management and Company procedures.


Responsibilities


  • Receives ordered products and merchandise from different suppliers.
  • Monitor and coordinate deliveries of items between suppliers to ensure that all items are delivered to the restaurant on time.
  • Physically check the quantity and quality of each product received, comparing the quantity and specification of the product.
  • Store products properly in the allocated places.
  • Administer a comprehensive inventory count on all products once every month and a full count at the end of each fiscal year.
  • Perform other duties pertinent to this job as assigned.


Qualifications


  • Diploma or a high school certificate
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience within a purchasing/contracting environment
  • Experience in the area of intermediate negotiation and contracting
  • Understanding of supply chain management
  • Knowledgeable of the rules governing public sector procurement
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Trustworthy
  • Excellent Organization skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Time management
