We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Assistant Sales Manager – Modern Trade to join our growing team. The successful candidate will support the Sales Manager in driving sales performance, managing key modern trade accounts, ensuring strong market presence, and executing effective sales strategies aligned with company goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve company objectives in the Modern Trade channel.
- Manage and maintain strong relationships with key modern trade accounts (hypermarkets, supermarkets, and key retail chains).
- Monitor sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
- Coordinate with internal teams (marketing, logistics, finance, and supply chain) to ensure smooth execution of promotions and deliveries.
- Track and analyze sales data to improve forecasting accuracy and optimize inventory levels.
- Support in negotiating listings, shelf space, visibility, and promotional activities with key accounts.
- Ensure timely collections and adherence to credit terms.
- Prepare regular sales reports and present updates to management.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in FMCG sales, preferably in Modern Trade / Key Accounts.
- Strong understanding of FMCG distribution and retail dynamics in Qatar or the GCC.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with ERP systems is an advantage.
- Valid Qatar driving license preferred.
- Fluency in English is required; Arabic knowledge is a plus.
