Assistant Store Keeper

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in receiving materials, checking quantity and quality against purchase orders and delivery challans.
  • Ensure proper stacking, labeling, and storage of materials in designated locations.
  • Issue materials to departments against approved requisitions.
  • Support in conducting monthly and periodic physical stock counts.
  • Report shortages, damages, slow-moving, and obsolete items to the Store Keeper.
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and discipline within the store area.
  • Assist in coordinating with procurement, production, and accounts for store-related matters.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
  • 1–3 years of experience in stores or warehouse operations.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory management and store procedures.
  • Ability to maintain records and prepare basic reports.
  • Familiarity with ERP / MS Excel is an advantage.
  • Physically fit to handle store operations.
  • Honest, organized, and detail-oriented.
