Assistant Venue Technology Manager
Role Purpose
The Assistant Venue Technology Manager supports the Venue Technology Manager in overseeing all technology-related operations within assigned venues. This role plays a key part in the installation, maintenance, operation, and event-day support of venue technology systems, ensuring seamless daily operations and successful event delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Venue ICT Operations & Technical Support

Support the Venue Technology Manager in managing the full lifecycle of venue technology services and solutions.

Coordinate with Venue ICT teams to track and resolve ongoing or pending ICT and ELV-related issues.

Liaise with internal teams, service providers, and stakeholders to ensure timely rectification of systems.

Supervise technical rooms and physical spaces housing IT and ELV infrastructure.

Monitor, track, and close ICT incidents in coordination with the service desk and stakeholders.

Maintain and update the venue ICT asset inventory, including storage locations.
Event Technology Delivery & Support

Support site surveys and assessments of existing ICT, AV, and ELV systems.

Supervise installation and commissioning of AV/ELV systems to ensure performance and compliance.

Coordinate with event organizers to understand technical requirements and ensure readiness.

Act as a technical point of contact for event-related ICT requirements.

Support event planning, readiness, and venue technology scope delivery.

Provide real-time technical support during events, troubleshooting and resolving issues as needed.

Support event bump-in activities, system setup, configuration, and adjustments.

Supervise installation of event overlay systems, including cabling, displays, sound systems, and control systems.

Conduct post-event system checks during bump-out activities.
Qualifications & Experience
Required Experience

Minimum
12 years
of experience in ICT and AV/ELV system implementation, maintenance, and support.

Experience in large venues, stadiums, or major event environments is highly preferred.

Strong background in:

ICT infrastructure
-
AV & ELV systems (PA, sound reinforcement, video displays, video conferencing)
-
IPTV & TV broadcasting infrastructure
-
CCTV, Access Control, Turnstiles
-
Proven experience in IT or venue technology management.

Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.

Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
Education & Certifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.

Project Management certifications are an advantage.
-
Experience with large-scale ICT/AV/ELV projects in sports venues or similar environments is preferred.
