Associate Attorney

Wilson Smith Cochran Dickerson, a Seattle civil defense litigation law firm, seeks a bright, highly motivated Associate or Of Counsel Attorney licensed in Washington with exceptional written and oral advocacy skills.

Basic Requirements

• Superior analytical, written, and oral communication skills
• 3+ years of substantive litigation experience
• J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school
• Excellent academic credentials
• Admitted to the WSBA and/or OSB

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven experience in civil defense litigation and counseling parties in a variety of pre-dispute and dispute resolution contexts, including depositions, discovery, arbitrations, and trial.
• Significant hands-on experience with insurance litigation.
• Ability to independently manage multiple projects, cases and deadlines in a dynamic, engaging environment.
• A motivated self-starter seeking increasing opportunities for professional growth and responsibility.
• Ability to work as a collaborative team player who can effectively work with paralegals and assistants to ensure efficient case handling.
• Judicial clerkship experience or prior court experience (ideal but not required).
• Unwavering commitment to the highest standards of ethics and professional integrity.
• Experience planning, defending and taking witness and party depositions.

The salary range for this position is $125k-$150k and includes a generous bonus opportunity. Also, currently included are full employer paid medical, dental, vision, life, LTD health coverages, and an opportunity to join the 401k and profit plan after six months.
