Associate Attorney

Position: Insurance Coverage Associate

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid – 3 days in-office / 2 days remote)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Insurance Coverage Associate to join a dynamic mid-sized law firm in Chicago. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance coverage matters and related litigation, with the ability to provide high-quality legal services to a diverse client base.

Responsibilities:

• Handle complex insurance coverage matters, including policy interpretation and risk analysis
• Advise clients on insurance claims, coverage disputes, and potential litigation strategies
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, and correspondence related to coverage disputes
• Collaborate with litigation teams to support case strategy and risk assessment
• Manage multiple cases while meeting firm billable hour expectations

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Admission to practice law in Illinois
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in insurance coverage law
• Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $130,000 – $200,000 annually . Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
