The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join our team in our Edison office. This position offers the opportunity to gain substantial courtroom and client-facing experience while working closely with experienced partners and a dedicated support team. You’ll handle meaningful work from day one — appearing in court and bankruptcy meetings, preparing filings, and helping clients through challenging financial situations.
Key Responsibilities
· Represent clients at Court hearings, 341 meetings, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.
· Work directly with partners and staff to prepare and file bankruptcy petitions in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 cases.
· Draft motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda for bankruptcy and related litigation matters.
· Review and respond to discovery, motions, and pleadings in State and Federal Courts.
· Maintain regular communication with clients throughout case preparation and representation.
Qualifications
· Admitted to practice in New Jersey State and Federal Courts.
· 1–5 years of legal experience (bankruptcy or debtor-creditor law preferred) or willing to train
· Court appearance experience required.
· Strong writing, research, and organizational skills.
· Ability to manage a caseload while maintaining high-quality representation.
· Experience in debtor representation or bankruptcy litigation a plus.
