Primary duties include::
  • Provide advice and counsel on a wide range of employment matters, including Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA, and related state laws
  • Draft and respond to discovery, including managing e-discovery processes
  • Prepare and argue dispositive motions and pleadings
  • Draft, review, and revise employee handbooks, policies, employment contracts, and separation agreements
  • Respond to EEOC and state agency charges and participate in administrative proceedings
  • Assist with federal and state agency investigations
  • Conduct and participate in depositions and mediations
  • Attend witness interviews conducted by administrative agencies
  • Collaborate closely with partners, clients, and stakeholders to deliver strategic and practical legal advice
  • Manage deadlines and assignments with a high level of ownership and independence

Requirements::
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in Georgia (required); additional bar admissions a plus
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in labor and employment law, preferably in a law firm setting
  • Demonstrated experience handling employment litigation from start to finish
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
  • Experience with administrative proceedings, depositions, and mediations
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Professional demeanor with strong client-relations and communication skills
  • Must be responsive and organized, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
